This is WORRY WATCHDOG
Worry Watchdog is always on the lookout!
He barks at shadows, jumps at his own tail, and digs endless holes in his yard—just in case there’s something he needs to be aware of.
He runs up and down near the fence, keeping an eye out for danger... but guess what? Most of the time, there’s nothing there!

This is ANGRY DRAGON
Angry Dragon is always fired up!
He stomps, snorts, and even puffs out little clouds of smoke over the tiniest things—like a squeaky door, a missing sock, or a cloud that’s a little too fluffy!
His tail swishes back and forth, knocking things over and creating chaos. Sometimes his anger builds up slowly until it explodes like a volcano.

This is COOL CAT
Cool Cat is the coolest kitty around!
While everyone else might be running around in a panic, Cool Cat is lounging in the sun, curled up on a cozy mat, Loud noises? Long lines? Someone taking the last slice of pizza? Cool Cat just shrugs and says, “It’s cool!”
Cool Cat is good at staying calm under pressure. He’s the kind of friend who helps you find the bright side.

Cool Cat helps us notice how our emotions FEEL in our body like:
- a fluttery tummy or shaky hands
- a racing heart, clenched fists or feeling hot
The Cool Cat helps us to give these feelings a name, like:
- I feel scared or I feel nervous
- I feel angry or I feel frustrated

CALM YOUR BODY, CALM YOUR BRAIN
Cool Cat first helps us feel safe and calm by:
- reminding us to breathe - ha ki roto, ha ki waho
- Take a break to do something soothing like:
- listening to music or drawing
When our body is calm, our brain can think more clearly!

CATCH IT, CHECK IT, CHANGE IT
Cool Cat teaches us how to manage unhelpful thoughts or "stinking thinking" that often makes us feel worse.
- Catch It: Notice an unhelpful thought
- Check It: Ask questions like, "Is this thought true, kind, or helpful?"
- Change It: Replace it with a more positive or realistic thought...I can try again
